Our Quest:
Spreading Scriptural Holiness Across the Lands
We are a proud part of the Global Methodist movement in this 21st century. We believe we are stronger together and better together. We believe the quest we are on to become more like Jesus involves other people on the journey. The emphasis is not being a part of a massive bureaucratic organized religion; rather, participating in a family and team where the love of Jesus is made more real as we GATHER, GROW and GO.
This new faith community was established by a generous 3-year grant through the Mid-TX Conference of the Global Methodist Church. Our goal is to be self-sustaining by August 1, 2029 with 40-50 households committed to the vision and mission of GraceQuest. We seek to establish house churches and small groups throughout the Greenville, Farmersville, Princeton and surrounding areas.
Without God, this will be an impossible, against-all-odds task. Yet, with God, He will do all things and marvelous things.
We know we are not currently an established church with a big building, impressive facilities, established programs, organized offices. We are the start of something beautiful. Every beautiful thing has a beginning- so why not here? Why not now? Why not with people like you supporting us?

Our Planting Pastor
Greg Oberg grew up as a NASA brat in Dickinson, TX. He went to Texas A&M University and was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He also met and fell in love with his college sweetheart, Georgia McCollum from Amarillo, TX. After graduating from A&M, the Obergs went to Wilmore, KY for Greg to attend Asbury Theological Seminary for three years to earn a Masters in Divinity Degree.
Since 2004, Greg has served in a variety of ministry settings: suburban churches, twice as a rural church as pastor and youth director, 11 years in campus ministry, and a year as the inaugural pastor of a church break-off in Louisiana. Greg is in his 23rd year of full-time ministry, and his fourth year as an ordained elder of the Global Methodist Church. Greg came to Princeton in July 2026, excited about starting a new faith community.
When not serving in ministry, Greg can be found participating in 5Ks. Greg also loves going on cruises with his family. Greg and his wife Georgia met at the Texas A&M Wesley Foundation and have been married since 1999. They have three kids: Wesley, Lincoln, and Lexi. Wesley graduated from A&M in December of 2023 and currently works for Oracle in Abilene. Lincoln is a senior at Sam Houston State University earning a triple major between banking, accounting and finance.
Greg's personal mission is to love people deeper into the arms of Jesus, no matter who they are or where they are in life. His gifts include teaching, administration and organization building, hospitality. He also has a deep passion for helping kids and youth discover a fulfilling life found in Jesus Christ.
